Ryder is available at our Blackburn North studio Tuesdays to Saturdays, and can also provide online guitar lessons.
Ryder Howell is a versatile guitar and bass instructor with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music (BCM) from the Southern Institute of Technology, and a genuine passion for helping students grow through music.
Drawing on both performing and teaching experience, Ryder works across a wide range of styles including rock, jazz, funk, blues, metal, and acoustic guitar. This broad musical background allows him to take a well-rounded, technique-focused approach, while still keeping lessons practical, musical, and engaging.
Ryder’s lessons emphasise strong fundamentals, musical understanding, and personal expression. He tailors each lesson to the individual student’s goals, interests, and learning style - whether that’s building solid technique, developing confidence, learning songs, or expanding improvisation skills. His supportive and encouraging teaching style creates a positive learning environment that keeps students motivated and inspired as they progress.
